Naomi Osaka beats Victoria Azarenka to win US Open title
According to details, Japanese fourth seed Osaka demonstrated won against Azarenka in a compelling US Open final and claimed her third Grand Slam title.
She lost the first set by 1-6 but made a comeback in next two sets 6-3 6-3 to win her second US Open title.
The 31-year old Belarusian player, in her first major final since 2013, was broken for 5-3 in the decider before Osaka served out.
After taking the second match point, Osaka shrieked with joy and then calmly lay on the court contemplating her latest achievement.
The 22-year-old Naomi Osaka said that she was made to work hard for the victory.
"I don't want to play you in any more finals, I didn't really enjoy that, it was a really tough match for me," Osaka jokingly told Azarenka adding,
"It was really inspiring for me because I used to watch you play here when I was younger. I learned a lot, so thank you."
She has earlier won a US Open in 2018 and Australian Open in 2019 and has maintained her record of winning every Grand Slam final she has played in.
