Hockey World Cup: Pakistan, Malaysia match ends in 1-1 draw
Bhubaneswar: Pakistan and Malaysia match in Hockey World Cup 2018 ended in 1-1 draw at Bhubaneswar India on Wednesday.

After draw both teams remained in the hunt for a knock-out round of the tournament.
The only goal was scored by Muhammad Atiq during 51st minute. Faizal Saari of Malaysia scored goal four minutes later on a penalty corner.
The Asian sides Pakistan (No 13) and Malaysia (No 12) have lost their opening games, Pakistan 0-1 to Germany and Malaysia 0-7 to Holland.
Both sides have met four times in the World Cup with Pakistan winning each time.
1973: Pakistan beat Malaysia 4-2
1975: Pakistan beat Malaysia 2-1
1978: Pakistan beat Malaysia 3-0
1998: Pakistan beat Malaysia 7-2
In their most recent encounter during the Asian Champions Trophy in October, Pakistan defeated Malaysia twice, once in the round robin and then in the semi-final on a penalty shootout.
