Ricardo Kaká terms Pakistan a 'peaceful' country for sports events
"We are very happy to be here," Kaka said while talking exclusively to GNN's Gharidah Farooqi. He added that the people of Pakistan were amazing.
While responding to a question about his expectations of Pakistan, the soccer star said, "I met some people back in Brazil who told me about Pakistan. I was told that the people living here are very warm, welcoming and kind. This is exactly what i have seen here. I really appreciate the warm reception here in Lahore and in Karachi as well."
Unfortunately, Kaka did not find the time to try out Pakistani food. He told Ghareedah Farooqi that "Being a foodie, I love to taste local cusines wherever I go"
When asked about the popularity of soccer in Pakistan, Kaka said that he knows cricket is very popular in pakistan "but I hope both the sports would get an oppertunity to get along. So people can enjoy both."
Talking about the potential for soccer in Pakistan, the star player commented, "I see the potential in Pakistan as the people here are very talented. You can find a lot of potential regarding football. The government is also trying to help develop soccer here."
While giving a message to his Pakistani fans, Kaka thanked Pakistan for such a warm welcome and said that dreams and determination are the keys to success.
"When you have the determination to run after your dream, you'll definately succeed," the legend advised aspiring footballers in Pakistan.
Fortunately, Kaka found pakistan to be a peaceful country and said that "I think its a very good place to promote and hold events for soccer."
