Quetta to battle with Peshawar for place in PSL final
Karachi: Quetta Gladiators and Peshawar Zalimi will battle for the slot of first finalist of the HBL PSL 2019 in the first qualifier match at National Stadium Karachi.

The match will starts at at 7 pm.

On Monday, Zalmi defeated Karachi Kings in their backyard by 61 runs defending 204 runs and topped the points table. While the Gladiators is currently at the second spot in the points table with 14 points to its name.

Both the teams have won seven games out of ten in the tournament so far. Quetta Gladiators had brushed aside Peshawar Zalmi in both league matches of this year’s edition. They won their first match by six wickets at Dubai on February 15 and the second by eight wickets at Abu Dhabi on March 4.

Both the teams have formidable sides with local and international players. In the batting order, in-form openers Kamran Akmal and Imam-ul-Haq have been the key for Zalmi with their consistency at the top, while Gladiators’ star Shane Watson along with Umar Akmal and Ahmed Shehzad are the biggest threat to Peshawar’s bowling.

The winner of today’s match will directly go to the final to be held on March 17 at Karachi. The loser will get another chance to qualify for the finals as they take on the winner of the first Eliminator at Karachi on March 15.
