Gladiators spinner Fawad Ahmed to undergo gum surgery after nasty blow
Karachi: Quetta Gladiators spinner Fawad Ahmed will undergo a gum surgery, after he was smashed in the face by a returning straight drive from Imam-ul-Haq in the qualifier match against Peshawar Zalmi on Wednesday.

Quetta Gladiators qualified for the final of the Pakistan Super League for the third time in four years after beating Peshawar Zalmi by 10 runs in front of a packed National Stadium crowd.

However, their victory was over shadowed by Fawad’s injury as he had to be taken to a hospital for treatment after losing his front tooth.

The Pakistan-born Australian cricketer will be implanted with a new tooth, and is expected to recover in time for the final on March 17.
