Cricketer Nasir Jamshed name removed from ECL
Lahore: Lahore High Court (LHC) on Tuesday ordered to remove name of test cricketer Nasir Jamshed from Exit Control List (ECL), reported GNN.

As per details garnered, the LHC assumed hearing on petition filed by the ex-cricketer seeking removal of name from ECL.

The petitioner pledged that he was illegally placed on ECL.

Deputy AG—while submitting reply on behalf of interior ministry—informed that name of Nasir Jamshed was placed on ECL on recommendation of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).

The lawyer—representing FIA—informed court that there was no inquiry pending with the FIA against the cricketer.

After hearing the arguments, LHC directed authorities concerned to remove name of Nasir Jamshed from ECL.

Nasir Jamshed was banned for 10 years in August 2018 by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) anit-corruption tribunal for involvement in 2017 PSL spot-fixing scandal.
