Babar Azam moves up to third place in ICC ODI rankings
Dubai: Pakistan’s rising star Babar Azam has moved up to third place in the latest ICC Men’s ODI Player Rankings for batsmen after his splendid performance in the World Cup 2019.

The one-down batsman scored 474 runs in eight World Cup 2019 matches, including an unbeaten 101 against New Zealand and another near-ton against Bangladesh in Pakistan's final match.

 



 

Azam now has 827 rating points, and is behind only the superstar Indian duo of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.

India skipper Virat Kohli retained his top position among the batsmen followed by another Indian – Rohit Sharma.

Imam-ul-Haq and Fakhar Zaman are at number 11 and 17 respectively in the rankings.

No Pakistani is among the top ten bowlers. Mohammad Amir only managed to achieve the 12th spot. India’s Jasprit Bumrah is the number one ODI bowler.

Imad Wasim and Mohammad Hafeez are at number four and ten respectively in the all-rounder category while Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan tops the list.
