NZ vs IND: Rain halts play

World Cup semi-finals: New Zealand won the toss and chose to bat
Both teams have a lot of experience of playing in the knockouts but this is the first time they are facing each other in a World Cup semi-final match.

India and New Zealand are batting it out in the first semi-final of the World Cup 2019 today where New Zealand has won the toss and chose to bat.

Both teams are facing each other for the first time in this tournament since the league match between them was cancelled due to rain.

This is the seventh time India will be playing in a World Cup semi-final while New Zealand has been through to semi-finals eight times

India have won three and lost three so far while the Kiwis have lost 6 and advanced to the final just once so far, in 2015 when they lost in the World Cup final against Australia.

Overall in World Cups, New Zealand hold a 4-3 advantage over India with one match being a washout.
