Inzamam ul Haq to step down as chief selector
Lahore: Inzamam ul Haq has decided to step down from the post of chief selector for Pakistan cricket team today.

He made the announcement of his decision while speaking to media at Pakistan Cricket Board headquarters.

The former cricketer said that he was satisfied with the team's performance at recently held World Cup adding that unfortunately luck wasn't on their side.

Inzamam also said he is satisfied with his performance as the chief selector adding, "I am willing to work in any other capacity if asked by the board."

He told reporters that he will resign after his tenure is up at the end of the month.

Speaking about the Pakistan team's performance in World Cup he said, “Unfortunately we lost the opening match and it difficult to make up the run rate in later matches.”

In the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, Pakistan finished fifth on points table missing out on a semi-final berth.
