People sending Valentine messages to medics looking after coronavirus patients in Singapore
People in Singapore are sending Valentine’s Day messages to healthcare workers who are looking after coronavirus patients with handwritten notes.

Since the outbreak of coronavirus in China, many people have been affected around the world.

There are more than 50 reported cases of coronavirus in Singapore and the government has stepped up measures to detect and contain its spread.

Amid all the measures, some people, including schoolchildren, are utilizing social media to share their messages of love to boost the morale of medical healthcare staff that is looking after the coronavirus patients.

Wally Tham, who is an active social media user, has made a Facebook group @StandUpForSG, which is a page dedicated to Singapore's social issues.

The idea to send love and support messages to medics on Valentine Day was first suggested on that group and now many people are sharing their support-filled messages to the staff.

According to the medical staff it is highly encouraging and motivating trend for them in this time of crisis.
