Muslim man battered with hammer in India for carrying cow meat
New Delhi: Around ten cow vigilantes thrashed a Muslim man with hammer and iron rods for carrying cow meat near Indian capital, New Delhi.

Lukman Khan was transporting the meat Saddar Bazar when the extremists forcefully took him to Gurgaon's Badshahpur village where they beaten him up, leaving him seriously injured.

The assailants also attacked police officials when they came forward to rescue the victim. They also damaged the police vehicle.

Khan suffered multiple injuries including skull fracture and is currently being treated at hospital where his health condition is said to be stable.

A case of the incident has been registered while one of the suspect has also been arrested.
