North Korea's official statement calls South Korean president a ‘shameless man’
North Korea released an official statement calling South Korean president Moon Jae-in a ‘shameless man’ rejecting the latter’s offer of peace talks.

"We even question if his thought process is sound when he mentions 'talks' between North & South Korea while playing out war scenarios that plan to destroy most of our armies in 90 days. He truly is a shameless man,” the statement read.

President Moon said the goal to achieve denuclearization in the Korean peninsula was at a critical stage amidst North Korea testing missiles and South Korea continuing their joint military practices.

"A new Korean peninsula, one that will bring peace and prosperity to itself, East Asia and the world, awaits us," he said in the televised speech.

The North Korean response was hostile.

"Even at this moment, South Korea continues its joint military exercise and to speak of a peaceful economy or a peaceful regime. It has no right to do so,” the statement continued.

North Korea has expressed great concern over the military drills their neighbors have been carrying out which they state violate the agreements between President Donald Trump and President Moon Jae-in.

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has sent letters to the American president expressing his concern over South Koreas military exercises and has refused speak to South Korean representatives any further.
