Karachi Saddar blast: CTD kills two suspected terrorists in Mauripur operation
Karachi: The Counter Terrorist Department (CTD) and the law enforcement agencies has killed two alleged terrorists after an intense exchange of fire in the Mauripur area.
Officials stated that the prime suspect and his accomplice of the Karachi’s Saddar blast, who apparently belonged to a banned outfit, has been killed.
The development comes a day after Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah’s press conference on Tuesday in which he had demanded “immediate outcomes and result-oriented operations” from law enforcement following a series of terrorist attacks in Karachi.
Incharge CTD Mazhar Mishwani told newsmen that a raid was carried out in Maripur on the information of presence of wanted terrorists involved in recent terrorism incidents in Karachi.
The terrorists opened fire on police and in retaliation two terrorists were killed and their one accomplice fled away from the scene.
One kilogram explosive material, electronic equipment and material used in bomb making were recovered from the terrorists.
