Sessions Judge abducted from Tank area of D.I Khan: Police
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has taken notice of the incident, directed authorities to ensure the safe recovery of the abducted judge.
D. I. Khan: District and Sessions Judge Shakirullah Marwat, stationed in South Waziristan, was abducted by armed assailants near the border area of Tank and Dera Ismail Khan in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the police confirmed on Saturday.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Mohammad Adnan of DI Khan confirmed the incident, stating that it occurred in a village called Bagwal, situated in the border region between Tank and DI Khan. The abduction took place while the sessions judge was returning to DI Khan from duty.
The perpetrators abandoned the judge's vehicle and driver at the scene before fleeing, according to police reports.
No group or individual has claimed responsibility for the abduction, as per police sources.
Upon taking notice of the situation, KP CM Gandapur directed authorities to ensure the safe recovery of the abducted judge. He emphasized the urgency of the matter, instructing that all available resources be utilized for Marwat's retrieval.
Gandapur condemned the abduction, asserting that those responsible for such heinous acts would not evade justice.
