Gaza: Police stop IJT students from marching towards US embassy
The students staged a sit-in at Serena Chowk and erected tents in protest
Islamabad: The capital police stopped the Islami Jamiat Tuleba (IJT) students, who were holding the ‘Gaza March’ in the capital, from marching towards the US Embassy.
The participants attempted to go to the diplomatic enclave but a large police contingent stopped them. Later, the students staged a sit-in at Serena Chowk and erected tents.
A heavy contingent of police and Frontier Constabulary (FC) were deployed to deal with possible situations.
