Pakistan reports 2,060 new COVID-19 cases, 42 deaths

According to National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), around 2,060 cases of coronavirus were reported while 42 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 27,524.

Pakistan reports 2,060 new COVID-19 cases, 42 deaths

Islamabad: Pakistan is presently experiencing the fourth wave of coronavirus which is said to be deadlier and more contagious than the previous three COVID waves. Today, the daily positivity rate in-country is at 4.58%.

According to National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), around 2,060 cases of coronavirus were reported while 42 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 27,524.

The total number of cases has reached 1,236,888.

As many as 1,157,322 patients have recovered from the disease with 4,267 critical cases.

Punjab        

The number of patients swelled to 427,583 in the province with 12,535 causalities.

Sindh

The number of infections has surged to 454,510 in the province, while the death toll has reached 7,327.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

The confirmed cases have surged to 172,766 in the province with 5,488 casualties.

Balochistan

There are 32,837 confirmed cases while 346 patients have died from the infection so far.

AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan

There are 33,990 coronavirus cases in the AJK while the death toll has reached 734. On the other hand, there are 10,289 cases in GB with 184 coronavirus deaths.

Islamabad

There are 104,913 cases in the capital city while 910 people have lost their lives.
