K-Electric files plea to increase prices of power

Islamabad: The K-Electric has given a plea of fuel price adjustment of 9 months in which it is included to increase the price of power for 7 months reduction for 2 months.

According to the details, the plea was filed to receive under the FCA from July 2023 to March 2024. K-Electric asked to increase of power for 7 months under the FCA.

The collective increase of 7 months in power price is Rs18.86 while the reduction for 2 months is 0.29.

However, the national electric power regulatory authority (NEPRA) will hear the plea of K-Electric on May 9 and after that the authority will decide on plea under the FCA.

WNBA star Plum, Giants' Waller file for divorce

WNBA star Kelsey Plum and Giants tight end Darren Waller have filed for divorce after little more than one year of marriage.

Las Vegas Aces star guard Kelsey Plum and New York Giants tight end Darren Waller filed for divorce in Clark County District Court in Las Vegas on Tuesday.

Plum, 29, and Waller, 31, were married in March 2023 after dating for reportedly one year.

"I'm devastated," Plum wrote on social media. "I walked through fire for that man, but now I see it's time to go. God has given me such an incredible life, and I'm truly so grateful for the profound love from my family and friends. One day I'll share my story, today is not that day."

A two-time WNBA champion with the Aces, Plum began dating Waller while the latter played for the Las Vegas Raiders.

Plum was the first overall pick of the 2017 WNBA draft. She also won a gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics in women's 3x3 basketball.

Waller made the Pro Bowl in 2020 while playing with the Raiders. He reportedly has yet to decide whether to play in the 2024 season or retire from professional football.

Toronto: At the Khalistan Day celebration in Canada, the Sikh community raised slogans of Long Live Khalistan.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and the opposition leader also participated in Khalistan Day celebrations in Canada.

On the occasion of participating in the Khalsa Day celebrations, the Canadian Prime Minister also wore a saffron-colored scarf on his head, worn by Sikhs.

Prime Minister of Canada, Justice Trudeau, while addressing the gathering on Khalsa Day, said that he will protect the rights of Sikhs.

Posters and photos of slain Hardeep Singh Niggar were also put up in the Khalsa Day ceremony.
