Driving license exclusively for studentsĀ 

We will visit colleges and universities once or twice a month to make their learner and permanent driving licenses, added Mohsin Naqvi.

Islamabad: The Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi Monday announced to issue driving license exclusively for students of colleges and universities.

Speaking at a ceremony in Islamabad, he said that the students of colleges and schools will not need to go to the office, ‘We will contact the teachers of all the colleges and universities and go once or twice a month to make their learner and permanent driving licenses. It will save time for students’.

Mohsin Naqvi stated that people aged 70 years and above will be provided this facility it their doorstep. This is the right of the people, we need to solve the traffic problem and make it signal free.

The Interior Minister added that in the coming days you will get to see a lot of things, we will make Islamabad free from drugs and encroachment, welfare of police and martyrs is our first priority.

“I went to the Lahore passport office in the morning, there was a complaint of corruption, I have changed the top officials there, there is a delay in issuing the passport. It will take some time to correct it, there are some technical problems, but it will not happen now that people pay money but passports are not issued,” continued federal minister.

Mohsin Naqvi further said that we will take action against those buildings where there is no parking.

Answering the question regarding the deal between the establishment and Imran Khan, the interior minister said that there is no such thing in his knowledge.

Rain killed 10, injured 14 in KP

Peshawar: The 10 people have killed and 14 injured in different accidents from recent rains in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to the details, in accordance with the issued statistics amid the recent rains by the provincial disaster management authority the 10 killed people included 6 men, 2 women and 2 children while in injured ones 5 men, 2 women and 7 children are included.

The 56 houses, rooftops and walls damaged from thunder lightening. The 51 houses are temporarily damaged while 5 damaged completely.

However, the damage occurred in Bajaur, Swat, Mansehra, Bitgram, Dir, Lower Malakand, Lakki Marwat, Kohat, Orakzai, Shangla, Derapar, Buner, Lower Chitral, Nowshera, Mohmand are also among the affected districts.

The PDMA stated that the district administration’s teams are engaged in relief activities. The closed highways are being opened in rain-affected districts. The people should report any untoward incident to 1700.

Peshawar: The election tribunal Peshawar has issued notice to parties and election commission on filed pleas of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) leaders against the results of elections.

According to the details, the hearing was done in the election tribunal Peshawar on pleas of PTI’s leaders against the elections’ results.

The application was filed by the PTI’s leaders included Arbab Asim, Hamid-ul-Haq, Arbab Jahandad and Kamran Bangash.

However, some of the applicants are Malik Shahab, Mehmood Jan and also Sajid Nawaz.
