Temperature likely to rise by 5 degrees in Punjab

Lahore: Day temperature is likely to increase by 5 degrees Celsius across Punjab including Lahore.

Director General (DG) Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Irfan Ali Kathia said that during this period the plains are likely to be affected by heat waves.

According to the officials, the administration has been alerted as per weather conditions. The citizens should also take precautionary measures to avoid heat wave, drink more water and not go out in the sun unnecessarily.

On the other hand, according to the spokesperson of PDMA, there is a possibility of dusty winds and rain in most of the districts of Punjab from May 10 to 12, while there is a possibility of heavy rain in South Punjab on May 10 and 11.

Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Thursday said that those who are responsible of May 9 will be seen in the dustbin of history.

In her message regarding May 9, Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz stated: “The nation will neither forget nor forgive May 9. It is a dark chapter in history. It is necessary to bring the plotters against Pakistan to justice”.

She added that the lustful people crossed the red line of the honor and sanctity of the nation. The conspiracy to weaken the national institution and the culprits have been exposed. Those who violate the dignity of the country and the nation for the sake of politics cannot be forgiven.

The characters burning in the fire of hatred are about to meet their end. Pakistan is everything, the nation has known every character of May 9. Those who desecrate the martyrs do not know the value of the martyr, continued Chief Minister.

Entry of lawyers' vehicles banned in LHC

Lahore: The entry of lawyers' vehicles was banned in Lahore High Court (LHC) on Thursday.

The security officer of Lahore High Court banned the entry of the lawyers' vehicles into the court, saying that no lawyer's car will be parked inside the premises of LHC.

Police deployed water cannon at GPO Chowk outside the High Court to control any situation.

On the other hand, outside the court of Justice Anwar-ul-Haq of Lahore High Court, the parties had an argument who came to appear in connection with the murder case, the police detained two persons and shifted them to the security room.

It is pertinent to note that the lawyer community protested yesterday against moving the civil court and the cases of terrorism against the lawyers and stones were also thrown at the police. Police used water cannon and tear gas to disperse the angry lawyers and several lawyers were detained.
