Balochistan: At least 13 wounded in Khuzdar blast

Khuzdar: At least 13 people were injured on Monday night after an explosion hit a two-way road near the Umar Farooq intersection in Khuzdar, city of Balochistan province.

Rescue teams and police rushed to the spot after getting information and shifted the wounded to the District Headquarters Hospital, where authorities said two were in critical condition.

The identities of wounded have not been revealed.

The head constable of Khuzdar police station said that they have set up checkpoints in the city to arrest the suspects.

While condemning the attack, Balochistan Chief Minister Abdul Quddus Bizenjo forced an emergency in hospitals across the city.

Chief Minister said that terrorists who attack innocent people are enemies of the nation, no religion or society allows bloodshed.

Abdul Quddus directed the law enforcement agencies to arrest the culprits as soon as possible and increase the security at city’s highway.

He assured the provision of best medical treatment to the injured and prayed for their speedy recovery.

Chief Minister Advisor for Home Mir Zia Langove summoned a report of the attack from the security officials.

Stating that the government was determined to eliminate all ‘anti-peace elements’, he added that police and law enforcement agencies are investigating the situation

Law enforcement agencies, however, have cordoned off the area to start an investigation and to ascertain the intensity of the blast.
