Rain, strong winds expected in Karachi today

The risk of flooding in rain-fed rivers and landslides in mountainous areas has also been predicted.

Karachi: There was drizzle in some areas of Karachi on Monday morning, while it is expected to remain partly cloudy during the next 24 hours.

According to the Department of Meteorology, the minimum temperature was recorded in Karachi today at 26 degrees Celsius, there may be drizzle in different areas of the city during the day and strong winds will continue to blow.

Officials of the meteorological department said that the maximum temperature in Karachi is likely to be 30 to 32 degrees Celsius and the humidity in the air is 90 percent at this time, while the speed of the winds blowing from the southwest is 18 kilometers per hour.

On the other hand, it rained in different areas of Murree, Malakand and Azad Kashmir during the night, which made the weather cool in these areas.

The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rain in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Abbottabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan from today to Wednesday.

Apart from this, the risk of flooding in rain-fed rivers and landslides in mountainous areas has also been predicted.
