US police take action on a false bomb threat at Washington mosque

Washington DC: In Washington, the capital of the United States of America, police rushed to the news of a bomb in a mosque.

The US Metropolitan Police evicted all the worshipers from the Muhammad Mosque and after searching the mosque, the report turned out to be false.

The police officials termed this incident as a hate crime while announcing taking action against the whistleblower.

Imam of Muhammad mosque, Yusuf Salim, said that the police came after receiving a bomb threat in the mosque during the sermon.

The mosque's security chief, Mohammad Abdul Malik, asked all worshipers to vacate the building immediately, while the mosque's imam insisted that police dogs not enter the prayer area.

According to Imam Yusuf Salim, after searching the mosque, it was found that the report about the presence of the bomb was false.

Earlier, a police search inside the Senate office buildings sparked panic after receiving a suspicious call that a shooter was inside the building.
