Delhi: Former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh has weighed in on the contenders for the semi-finals of the upcoming ICC Men's ODI World Cup, excluding Pakistan from his list of favorites.

In a recent discussion on his YouTube channel, Harbhajan Singh shared his predictions for the semi-finalist teams in the highly anticipated World Cup, scheduled to be held in India next month.

Harbhajan Singh named four teams that he believes are strong contenders to reach the semi-finals and vie for the prestigious title.

These four teams include Australia, India, England, and New Zealand.

He expressed his hope for an intense match-up between India and Australia, believing that the winner of this clash could emerge as the favorite to win the World Cup.

Harbhajan also noted Australia's strong potential to reach the semi-finals.

While acknowledging that some people speculate about Pakistan's chances of reaching the semi-finals, Harbhajan Singh stated, "In the 50-over format, they are just an average team. The Pakistan team excels in T20 cricket."

Consequently, he included New Zealand as his fourth choice for the semi-finalists.

The ICC ODI World Cup is set to take place in India from October 5 to November 19, featuring the participation of ten teams from around the world.
