Dollar continues to weaken against rupee
The US dollar is trading at Rs283.90 in the interbank.
Karachi: The US dollar's depreciation against the Pakistani rupee shows no signs of slowing down.
On the fourth day of the business week, the American currency dipped by Rs0.78 in the interbank market, bringing its value to Rs283.90.
Just a day earlier, at the close of the last business day, the dollar stood at Rs284.68 in the interbank market.
Over the course of a month, starting from September 5 to October 4, the rupee has witnessed a total depreciation of Rs 23 in the interbank market.
Meanwhile, the dollar has seen a decline of Rs 46 from its peak in the open market.
This ongoing trend highlights the strengthening position of the Pakistani rupee against the US dollar, potentially affecting various sectors of the economy.
