Sydney: Australian cricketer Usman Khawaja on Monday announced auctioning his shoes to support the children of Gaza.
Usman Khawaja made the announcement of auctioning his shoes on the social media platform, Instagram, where he shared an image of his shoes, stating that he is auctioning them, and the auction will conclude on February 12.
Usman Khawaja mentioned that there is a dire need for assistance to the children, and all proceeds will go to UNICEF Children of Gaza appeal.
The phrase "All lives are equal" and "Freedom is a human right" is written on Usman Khawaja's shoes.
It is worth noting that Usman Khawaja was prevented from wearing these shoes in a test match against Pakistan last month.
Earlier, the Australian cricketer had signed a deal with a company that makes clothing with prints depicting solidarity slogans with Palestinians.
