CJP replies to Mansoor Ali Shah's letter

Islamabad: Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa responded to the letter of Supreme Court judge Justice Mansoor Ali Shah, in which he had expressed reservations about the Presidential Ordinance while refusing to participate in the Practice and Procedure Committee meeting.

According to the details, the Chief Justice has replied to the letter written by Mansoor Ali Shah, but the contents of the letter have not been revealed yet.

It is pertinent to note that Justice Mansoor Ali Shah, the most senior judge of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, refused to participate in the Practice Procedure Committee meeting, after which he expressed reservations about the Presidential Ordinance in a letter written on September 23.

In the letter, Justice Mansoor Ali Shah had questioned the expulsion of Justice Muneeb Akhtar from the committee, but now Chief Justice Qazi Faez has written a reply letter to his letter.

It is also reported that the CJP wrote in his reply that he asked Justice Yahya Afridi to join the Judges Committee which he did not agree to. And after his refusal, Justice Aminuddin Khan was included in the Judges Committee.
