Israeli army attacks Lebanon despite ceasefire agreement, 78 more martyred
Total number of martyrs in Lebanon in the ongoing attacks by Israel has reached nearly 4,000
Beirut: Despite the Israeli army’s ceasefire agreement, attacks on Lebanon continue, in which 78 more Lebanese civilians have been martyred.
The Lebanese army has accused the Israeli forces of violating the ceasefire agreement.
According to foreign media reports, the Israeli army allegedly carried out several attacks on Hezbollah positions in southern Lebanon, in which more than 70 Lebanese civilians were martyred and 266 were injured.
The report stated that the total number of martyrs in Lebanon in the ongoing attacks by Israel has reached nearly 4,000.
Meanwhile, the Israeli army has imposed a nighttime curfew in southern Lebanon.
On the other hand, Israeli forces have continued their bombing in Gaza, as a result of which at least 42 people were martyred in the attacks on Thursday.
According to the report, the Israeli army targeted a residential building in Nusraat, in which nine Palestinians were martyred, while in another attack in Nusraat, a Palestinian was martyred and an Al Jazeera cameraman was injured.
It is pertinent to note that as a result of Israel's ongoing attacks in Gaza, at least 44,330 Palestinians have been martyred and more than 100,000 injured since October 7, 2023.
Meanwhile, the Yemeni Houthis have announced that they will continue to attack Israel and have also claimed to target American and British ships.
In addition, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu said in an interview after the ceasefire with Hezbollah that Israel is ready for a ceasefire in Gaza, but we are not ready to end the war with Hamas.
Notably, according to the US-sponsored ceasefire agreement, Israel will withdraw its forces from southern Lebanon within 60 days and the Lebanese government will take control of the area controlled by Hezbollah. According to the agreement, Hezbollah will remove its fighters and weapons from the Litani River.
