Cabinet okays three holidays on Eid al Adha

Islamabad: Against the proposal of five holidays by the National Command and Operations Centre (NCOC), the federal cabinet Tuesday has approved three holidays on account of Eid al Adha, beginning on Tuesday, July 20 and ending on Thursday, July 22.

Federal Minister for Information Fawad Chaudhry made this announcement after the meeting of the federal cabinet where several other important decisions were also taken. 

Fawad Chaudhry also told the media about the COVID situation in the country and said that NCOC had recommended five holidays on the occasion of Eid al Adha but the cabinet has approved only three.

Federal Government employees will have to come to the offices on the third day of Eid— Friday, July 23.

It should be noted that a day ago, the Interior Ministry had sent a summary to the prime minister, suggesting a four-day holiday on Eid al Adha.
