Nawaz’s fake vaccination entry; Punjab govt suspends MS, senior medical officer
The action came after fake record showed that Nawaz Sharif, who is currently residing in London, had administered first jab of the Sinovac vaccine at Lahore’s Kot Khawaja Saeed Hospital.
Lahore: The Punjab Health Department Friday suspended the Medical Superintendent (MS) and a senior doctor of Lahore’s Kot Khawaja Saeed Hospital over fake vaccination entry of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
In the matter related to fake COVID vaccine entry of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Supremo Nawaz Sharif, the concerned authority has suspended MS identified as Ahmed Nadeem and senior medical officer Dr Munir Ahmed.
The Punjab Health Department also asked them to report to the primary and secondary healthcare department.
In this regard, an official notification has also been issued. Meanwhile a case has also been registered as the Gujjarpura police station against three employees of the hospital involved in the fake entry of the coronavirus vaccination.
Two of those nominated in the FIR have been arrested.
The probe team— comprising officials from FIA and the Provincial Health Department had seized important documents and records from the hospital’s administration.
After suspension, Dr Muhammad Aijaz Butt has been given additional charge as MS of the hospital.
The action came after fake record showed that Nawaz Sharif, who is currently residing in London, had administered first jab of the Sinovac vaccine at Lahore’s Kot Khawaja Saeed Hospital.
As per the fake entry, PML-N leader received the first shot at 4:03 pm on Wednesday and was due to receive the second one.
Moreover, the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) has summoned the Punjab health secretary to Islamabad.
