Public, private hospitals on Naya Pakistan Sehat Card panel increased from 43 to 150: CM Buzdar

Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Usman Buzdar has said that number of public and private hospitals on the panel has been increased from 43 to 150. 

In a statement, the Punjab chief minister said that Naya Pakistan Sehat Card will be used in the treatment of deadly diseases including cancer. “This card will also cater treatment in heart disease, hepatitis, liver disease, TB, AIDS, emergency, fractures,” he maintained. 

CM Buzdar said that equal distribution of education and health facilities to ensure the welfare of the common man is among the top in the PTI manifesto. “Allah Almighty has given us an opportunity to serve the deprived segment of society. Under the leadership of PM Imran Khan, promises are being fulfilled made by the government.”

Usman Buzdar maintained that the Punjab government will provide Rs 400 billion for the Universal Health Care Programme. The launch of the Naya Pakistan Sehat Card will not only reduce the pressure on government hospitals but also ensure the growth of the private health sector.

“Naya Pakistan Sehat Card programme has been launched in Lahore, DG Khan and Sahiwal divisions. The same will be launched in Rawalpindi division on January 20, in Faisalabad Division on February 9 and in Multan Division on February 22.”

He also informed that Naya Pakistan Sehat Card project will be launched in Bahawalpur division on March 2, in Gujranwala on March 22nd and in Sargodha Division the Naya Pakistan Sehat Card Project will launch on March 31.

He said that under the Universal Health Care Programme, the number of beds has also been increased from 10,000 to 30,000, similarly, the number of public and private hospitals on the panel has been increased from 43 to 150.

“Naya Pakistan Sehat Card will be used in the treatment of deadly diseases including cancer. This card will also cater treatment in heart disease, hepatitis, liver disease, TB, AIDS, emergency, fractures. He said that by the end of March, 3 crore families including 11.5 crore people would have access to free medical treatment worth of one million rupees. A project like Naya Pakistan Qoumi Sehat Card is unprecedented,” the chief minister concluded.
