San Francisco: WhatsApp has been developing new features for its platform on smartphones and Windows devices— currently beta testing the ability to restore group chats if they have been mistakenly disabled.
According reliable tipster WABetainfo, the instant messaging service is now testing a revamped media picker for its mobile app and is testing new animations for its desktop client.
The revamped media picker is aimed to make things easier for the users to quickly find the media they want to share to contacts or status updates.

Meta-owned WhatsApp has grabbed an enormous user base over the years, owing to its many features and the fact that it's free to use.
If became functional, just tapping the "camera" button and swiping up will show you both Recents and Gallery tabs. A user can then select single or multiple media files to share.
The company is also working on a few more updates, like the ability to import chat history from Android to iOS smartphones and WhatsApp Communities.
