PIA resumes flight service between Lahore, Islamabad
Lahore: Good news for local travelers as Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has resume flight service between Lahore and Islamabad, after it was suspended owing to coronavirus situation in the country.
According to details, there will be three operational flights a week.
The first flight PK650 departed for Islamabad from Lahore early morning. A small ceremony was held at the airport following the resumption of flight service.
Station Manager Ali Asghar Zaidi and staff of national carrier personally bade farewell to the passengers.
Initially, weekly bilateral flights between Lahore and Islamabad will be operated on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
Last year in April, Pakistan suspended all international and national flights to curb the spread of Covid-19.
