Ten new Covid cases reported in two govt colleges in Islamabad
Islamabad: Federal capital on Friday closed two educational institutions for the next two weeks amid the novel coronavirus outbreak, as ten students contracted virus.
Coronavirus cases has been reported from two government colleges in Islamabad.
The authorities have ordered to ensure implementation on standard operating procedures (SOPs) to avoid further spread of the novel coronavirus and the district government has closed both the colleges for two weeks straight.
District Health Officer (DHO) directed the institutions’ administration to carry out coronavirus tests of staff members including teachers and all the students.
Moreover, according to National Command and Control Center (NCOC), around 1,579 cases of coronavirus were reported while 52 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 13,128.
The total number of confirmed cases reached to 587,014.
As many as 556,769 patients have recovered from the disease with 1,551 critical cases.
There are 43,901 cases in the capital city while 494 people have lost their lives.
