According to details, the first dogs have set pawns on the grounds of White House as Bidens' two German shepherds, 12-year old Champ and two-year old Major, have officially joined the first family in their new residence at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

Press secretary for first lady Jill Biden, Ms.  Michael LaRosa released photos of the dogs on her social media accounts to share the news.

"Champ and Major have joined us in the White House," the caption read.

The pictures of the German shepherds running across the White House lawn has gained thousands of likes along with the followers within an hour.

"Today is Major's lucky day! Not only did Major find his forever home, but he got adopted by Vice President Joe Biden & Dr. Jill Biden"  the Delaware Humane Association wrote.

The Bidens have gotten to know Major while fostering him and are now ready to make the adoption official.
