Islamabad: Pakistan has reported highest single-day increase in Covid-19 cases as the third wave of the pandemic continued to rage across the country.

According to National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), around 4,368 cases of coronavirus were reported while 63 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 14,091.

The total number of confirmed cases reached to 645,356.

As many as 591,145 patients have recovered from the disease with 2,758 critical cases.

Punjab                                                 

The number of patients swelled to 207,765 in the province with 6,142 causalities.

Sindh

The number of infections has surged to 264,062 in the province, while the death toll has reached 4,486.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

The confirmed cases have surged to 82,677 in the province with 2,260 casualties.

Balochistan

There are 19,427 confirmed cases while 205 patients have died from the infection so far.

AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan

There are 12,095 coronavirus cases in the AJK while the death toll has reached 340. On the other hand, there are 4,983 cases in GB with 103 coronavirus deaths.

Islamabad

There are 54,347 cases in the capital city while 555 people have lost their lives.
