NAB was formed to suppress opposition says Khaqan Abbasi
Islamabad: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senior leader and former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Tuesday criticized National Accountability Bureau (NAB) for practicing politics rather than accountability and stated that it was established to suppress opposition.
While addressing media in Islamabad, that actions of the NAB are not in national interest, asking why proceeding of the court are not being telecasted.
“The political system in the country is being pressurized,” he added.
Referring to inflation and unemployment he stated that price of several important things rising in the country, adding that the government is tackling coronavirus with help of donations.
He further said, “Prime Minister Imran Khan called meeting despite being in isolation and discussed political strategies against Maryam Nawaz”.
Apart from that, PML-N leader denied rumors regarding split in Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) and said that the opposition alliance is intact and will remain so.
