According to details, Chief Minister KP Mahmood Khan has restricted his official engagements including meetings after six of his employees were diagnosed with Covid-19.

All the official meetings will now be held on video link, while rest of the staff will be tested for novel coronavirus.

Reportedly, the entry of visitors has also been banned.

Mahmood Khan urged the masses to follow coronavirus Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) designed to counter the spread of virus.

Pakistan on Thursday reported 4,974 new Covid-19 cases and 98 deaths, with authorities linking the uptick in numbers to the third wave of the deadly outbreak across the country.

According to National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), around 4,974 cases of coronavirus were reported while 98 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 14,530.

The total number of confirmed cases reached to 672,931.
