As per a press release, these guidelines have been issued as per unanimous declaration from the President in consultation with Ulema for arrangements for Taraweeh prayers in Mosques and Imambargahs during holy month of Ramadan.

As per guidelines, prayers in Masajid and Imambargahs will be offered on the bare floors as the use of carpet or rugs is directed to prohibit.

Following NCOC’s corona protection guidelines for Ramadan, Mosques and Imambargahs are directed to clean the floors with chlorine solution in water.

According to press release issued by NCOC, people should avoid gathering in crowds before and after the prayers. Moreover, prayers will be offered in the courtyard, not inside.

Similarly, citizens older than 50 years, adolescent children, and those suffering from flu, cough, or any other infection are advised to offer their prayers at homes.

Rows of the praying individuals should be aligned so that there is a distance of six feet between individuals.

To avoid crowding, NCOC has also said that sehr and iftar should not be arranged at the mosque or the imambargah.

The Forum asked the citizens to avoid offering prayer on the roads and footpaths. It also barred citizens to hold ablution (Wuzu) in the Mosques, adding that they should do Wuzu at their homes.
