On his official twitter handle, the federal minister wrote, “A resolution has been tabled in the National Assembly by the government”.

He further stated that the workers of proscribed TLP who were arrested under the Maintenance of Public Order (MPO) Ordinance 1960 have been released.

“The protest demonstrations in this regard have also come to an end in the country,” he added.

The minister further added that if Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) want to bring their own resolution in the Parliament, it is their right and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government has nothing to do with it.

Earlier this week, the Ministers including Sheikh Rashid, Minister for Religious Affairs Dr Noorul Haq Qadri, Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) Tahir Ashrafi, Governor Punjab Mohammad Sarwar and Punjab Law Minister Raja Basharat lead the delegation from government’s side to hold talks with TLP.

Following the third round of talks, Interior Minister in his important video statement said that government would present a resolution in parliament to expel the French ambassador and will withdraw all cases including those filed under the fourth schedule against the leaders and workers of proscribed outfit.
