Pakistan officially offers help to India
Islamabad: Putting aside differences, Pakistan has officially offered help to India as the country battles a terrifying wave of the novel coronavirus.
The official account of Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) has tweeted on Saturday that Pakistan has offered aid to India as a "gesture of solidarity". Among the measures of relief support are ventilators, Bi PAP machines, digital X-ray machines, PPEs and related items.
The concerned authorities of #Pakistan and #India can work out modalities for quick delivery of the relief items. They can also explore possible ways of further cooperation to mitigate the challenges posed by the #pandemic. 2/2 @MEAIndia @PakinIndia

"The concerned authorities of Pakistan and India can work out modalities for quick delivery of the relief items," the tweet said, adding that the two countries can also explore further ways of cooperation.
Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Imran Khan had tweeted support for India as it battled a particularly virulent wave. India has broken the record for highest reported cases in the world, with horrifying visuals from the country flooding social media.
Crematoriums and graveyards have run out of space particularly in New Delhi and Maharashtra. Hospitals have run out of oxygen, beds and ventilators are unavailable and patients are dying in ambulances. In the previous 24 hours, India reported 346,000 new cases. There is speculation among experts that deaths and new cases are grossly unreported, with the BJP government coming in for severe criticism on its handling of the virus.
