Raja Riaz says PM asked for more time to resolve Jahangir Tareen matter
Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) leader Raja Riaz has said that Prime Minister Imran Khan has asked for more time to resolve Jahangir Khan Tareen matter.
According to details, Prime Minister Imran Khan met the lawmakers supporting Jahangir Khan Tareen amid strong reservations from the senior party leadership on the ongoing issue within the party.
Reportedly, the MPAs and MNAs of PTI presented Tareen's point of view to PM.
While addressing media post meeting, Raja Riaz said that PM has assured that justice will be done at all costs.
“We have told Prime Minister about Shahzad Akbar. PM has asked for some time to resolve the issue of Jahangir Khan Tareen. Imran Khan said that he will personally monitor this case. We have a firm belief on pour captain that justice will be served. PM said that there is no question of injustice,” he said.
PTI leader Jahangir Tareen and his son Ali have been booked by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) for their involvement in sugar scandal. Both father and son have denied any wrongdoing and they are on bail till May 03.
