Justice Faez Isa reference: Bilawal Bhutto demands resignation from President Arif Alvi
Islamabad: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has demanded resignation of President Arif Alvi for sending what he termed as a fake reference against Supreme Court Judge Justice Qazi Faez Isa.
While addressing a presser alongside other party leaders, Bilawal Bhutto said the federal law minister should also resign from his position for sending a fake reference against an apex court judge.
“PPP had condemned the move when the reference was sent against a sitting judge of apex court. An inquiry should be held against those targeted an esteemed judge for political revenge,” he said adding that the verdict of SC has exposed the conspiracy against Justice Qazi Faez Isa.
Responding to rigging allegations in NA-249, Bilawal Bhutto said that those who are raising hue and cry over their loss should give proofs of rigging.
“Those who are comparing these elections with Daska should know as to where violent incidents like Daska have been repeated during NA-249 polls. PML-N should learn to admit defeat,” he said adding,
“Instead of fighting with the government of Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI), they are trying to create a fight within the opposition parties. If PML-N had won, I would have called Shehbaz Sharif.”
Bilawal further stated that the people of Karachi have rejected the ‘selected’ government by supporting PPP.
