Vaccination centers to remain closed on first two days of Eid
Lahore: The vaccination centers across Pakistan will remain closed on first two days of Eidul Fitr.
Local media reported that according to a notification issued by National Command Operation Center (NCOC), all vaccination centers across Pakistan will have two holidays on Eid and after Ramadan the centers will remain functional from 8 am to 8 pm.
Pakistan is administering walk-in vaccination for people aged 50 and above while vaccination of 40 and above has also begun.
The country is presently experiencing the third wave of coronavirus which is said to be deadlier and more contagious than previous two waves.
According to National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), around 3,447 cases of coronavirus were reported while 78 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 18,993.
The total number of confirmed cases reached to 861,473.
As many as 762,105 patients have recovered from the disease with 4,846 critical cases.
