Decision to launch inquiry into Hudaibiya case was taken after new facts surfaced: Fawad
Islamabad: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry has said that it was decided to launch new inquiry in Hudaibiya case after new facts surfaced in Hudaibiya case.
Taking to twitter, the information minister posted a series of tweet in which he termed Hudaibiya Paper Mills case a biggest scam than Panama Leaks and said that it is a story of fraud worth Rs1242 million.
“Even after thorough probe, no trial was held for this case. The judge who had ordered to wrap up the case himself owned foreign assets as per Panama Leaks. No inquiry was launched against him as well,” he added.
The information minister hoped that the court will now also bring the judge, who facilitated Sharif family, to the justice.
The minister also said that the future of Pakistan is connected with the supremacy of the law and urged national institutions to play their due role.
Earlier, Fawad Chaudhry said the federal government had decided a fresh inquiry into the Hudaibiya Paper Mills case, adding that the legal team gave a detailed briefing to Prime Minister Imran Khan regarding the cases of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president Mian Shehbaz Sharif.
