£190 Million Scam: Charge sheet against Imran, Bushra comes out
According to the charge sheet, Bushra Bibi played a major role in the illegal activities of her husband.
Islamabad: In the £190 million scam reference, a four-page charge sheet has come out against founder Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan and his wife Bashira Bibi.
According to the charge sheet, Imran Khan received illegal financial benefits during his premiership. He received 458 kanals of land as a donation for Al-Qadir University through Zulfi Bukhari. The university which was non-existent in April 2019.
The charge sheet that came out said that the National Crime Agency in the United Kingdom traced 190 million pounds which before sending to Pakistan, Shahzad Akbar made a secret contract. Former Prime Minister Imran Khan was guilty of violation of Rules of Business 1973. Shahzad Akbar signed the National Crime Agency Confidentiality Deed on December 6, 2019.
According to the charge sheet, founder PTI got Al-Qadir Trust approved in the cabinet through his influence. Bushra Bibi played a major role in the illegal activities of her husband. On March 24, 2021, she helped Imran Khan by signing the documents as a trustee.
Imran and Bushra Bibi have refused to answer the allegations on various occasions. He dishonestly facilitated 170 million pounds out of 190 million pounds. The amount of 190 million pounds were transferred to the government through a secret agreement for which the account of the Registrar Supreme Court was used as an asset of Pakistan.
The charge sheet stated that the purchase of land under the deal was used as a contract. Founder PTI and Bushra Bibi acquired 240 kanals of land in Mehra Noor Islamabad through Farhat Shahzadi. Imran Khan and Bushra have been found involved in corrupt practices. According to all documentary evidence and available records, trial should be initiated against the accused.
