While talking to media in Rawalpindi, Sheikh Rasheed urged opposition to review its decision on resignations.

“Those who are talking about resigning from assemblies should review their decision. I expect opposition to show some sensibility at this point,” he said.

The federal minister asked opposition parties, including PDM head Maulana Fazlur Rehman to participate in open ballot senate elections.

“Prime Minister Imran Khan wants transparent senate elections. He wants every member of his party to vote confidently. Open ballot senate elections would strengthen democracy in the country,” he said.

Rasheed invited all opposition parties for dialogue to resolve issues.

Politics is not about entering a dead end. Democracy’s second name is dialogue,” he concluded.

It is pertinent to mention here that an important meeting of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) will be held today to finalize decisions ranging from moving no-confidence motion against the Prime Minister Imran Khan to tendering resignations from assemblies and launching long march.
