Petrol price increased by Rs2.13 per litre, diesel by Rs1.79
Islamabad: The government has announced an increase in POL prices. According to a notification, the price of petrol has been increased by Rs2.13 to Rs110.69 per litre.
The price of High Speed Diesel (HSD) has been increased by Rs1.79 to Rs112.55. The price of light diesel has been upped by Rs2.03 to Rs79.68.
The price of Keroscene oil has increased by Rs1.89 to Rs81.89. The new prices will be effective from midnight on Wednesday.
The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) on Monday had recommended the government to increase the price of petrol by up to Rs4.20 per litre.
The OGRA forwarded a summary to the petroleum division in which it had recommended an increase in the price of petrol by Rs4.20 per litre and a hike in the price of diesel by Rs3.50 per litre.
On May 31, the government had decided to not change petroleum product prices for the next 15 days of June.
