Tiktoker remanded in police custody for defrauding Ertugrul star
Lahore: TikToker Kashif Zameer has been remanded into police custody on Friday over charges of fraud with famous Turkish drama Erugral Ghazi hero Engin Altan.
The accused Mian Kashif Zameer, a Pakistani businessman and TikToker invited the acclaimed Turkish star after sending a fake draft of a hefty amount on the pretext of making him a brand ambassador of his fake company.
On Thursday, Police arrested Kashif Zameer on fraud charges after Turkish actor Engin Altan emailed a complaint to the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab.
DSP CIA Mian Shafqat stated that, the raiding team recovered a huge quantity of fake gold and a vehicle from the possession of Tiktoker.
“The accused is also a wanted felon,” he added.
A press statement by the Ertugrul star stated that Kashif Zameer has not fulfilled any of the conditions despite the period given under the agreement and his company failed to pay even half of the amount as per the agreement.
“I have no association with, Sialkot-based businessman, Kashif Zameer anymore,” said Turkish star.
The 41-year old actor also expressed displeasure over the false statements and misinformation given by Zameer.
Kashif Zameer is stated to be the managing director of the Chaudhry Group of Companies and after the death of his father, he runs the business himself.
