Mobile phone service is likely to remain suspended in sensitive areas across the country


Karachi: The Sindh government Monday announced the suspension of mobile phone service in major cities including Karachi, Hyderabad, Larkana, Sukkur, and Khairpur on the Chehlum of Imam Hussain (RA).
Apart from Sindh, mobile phone service is likely to remain suspended in sensitive areas across the country.
In view of the law and order situation on the occasion of Chehlum, strict security arrangements have been made and aerial surveillance of the processions will also be conducted.
On the other hand, the mobile phone service had been suspended in different areas of Karachi since night.
Mobile service has been suspended since last night in North Karachi, New Karachi, Nazimabad, Liaquatabad, Tin Hatti, PIB, MA Jinnah Road, Sadar, Lines Area, Malir and other areas of the city.
