Earlier, UAE allowed Pakistanis to travel with an attested COVID immunization certificate.
With effect from August 1, UAE has made it mandatory for passengers travelling from Pakistan to carry attested Covid-19 certificates. This applies not only to regular passengers but officials and diplomats as well.
In addition, UAE Embassy in Abu Dhabi has issued a circular on July 14 to inform the Pakistan Foreign Office about the new travel requirements.
According to an official notification from the UAE embassy in Islamabad, "It is mandatory to carry a UAE embassy attested vaccine certificate for Covid-19 issued by the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) along with Counsellor Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Islamabad, before travelling to the UAE”.
The Consulate General of Pakistan, Dubai, has confirmed that the circular was issued by the UAE embassy.
According to the UAE's General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA), regular passenger flights from Pakistan to the UAE are suspended until further notice.
Meanwhile, Pakistani expats who get vaccinated in the UAE are exempted from the new travel rule.
